The Trend DWS/KIT/E Limited Edition Diamond Sharpening Kit from ITS is a whetstone kit that is perfect for ensuring that your chisels, planning blades and more are kept in optimal condition.
One of the double-sided site and workshop bench stones is perfect for chisels and plane blades up to 3”. The stone has an extra fine, 1000 Grit (15 micron side along with a coarse 300 grit (50 micron) side
The other double-sided stone has a fine 600 grit (25 micron) side and an extra coarse 180 grit (70 micron) side on the other. The 600 grit fine is ideal for removal of scratches left after flattening tools such as chisels and plane blades before progressing to fine honing and polishing. The 180 grit side, with clearance channels, allows for maximum dispersal of residue removed following either sharpening or flattening of oil and water stones.
The lapping fluid is ideal for use with all quality diamond abrasive products. This is the better option than using water as it reduces the threat of rusting by up to 95%. It also reduces the chances of clogging while improving diamond performance.
Finally, the honing compound along with the leather strop are supplied to hone chisels and plane irons. The 100gm polishing compound can be used to polish sharpened cutting edges to give a highly polished, sharp cutting edge.
