The powerful brushless motor delivers up to 130Nm of hard torque and 65Nm of soft torque, giving you plenty of power for tougher drilling and fastening jobs while maintaining efficient battery use.
Unlike a typical two-speed drill driver, the BS 18 LTX-3 BL Q I Metal features three mechanical speed settings. With speeds of up to 450rpm, 2,000rpm and 4,000rpm, you can switch between high torque work and rapid drilling depending on the application.
Its 4,000rpm third gear is particularly useful for drilling metal, helping produce faster drilling progress. The drill has a maximum capacity of 16mm in steel and an impressive 68mm in soft wood.
Metabo's QuickPlus system allows you to quickly change between the supplied chuck, compatible bit holders, angle adaptors and other accessories, giving you a flexible setup for changing jobs.
The Futuro Top quick-change chuck has a re-tensioning function designed to reduce bit slippage while maintaining a high degree of concentricity. A magnetic hexagonal recess in the spindle also allows screwdriver bits to be used directly without the chuck.
Selectable Impuls mode helps when removing stubborn screws and when spot-drilling on smooth surfaces, while Precision Stop electronic torque control provides greater accuracy for more delicate fastening work.
Electronic safety shutdown helps reduce kickback if the drill bit suddenly stops, while overload protection helps protect the motor against overheating during demanding work.
