The Makita RP001GZ02 40V XGT Brushless 1/2'' Router from ITS delivers high performance cutting, even under load, while maintaining incredible handling and low weight.
Thanks to the inclusion of the brushless motor along with the 40V XGT battery platform, the RP001GZ02 can comfortably outperform an equivalent main powered machine.
That said, unlike its mains-powered cousins, the RP001GZ02 is surprisingly lightweight., even with the battery attached. Its compact design with an overall height of 228mm, along with the easy to hold grip, delivers premium quality manoeuvrability and professional cutting experience.
Accepting a ½” / 12mm Bit, the Router offers five cutting speeds to suit working against a range of materials, while the constant rotation control provides a clean cutting surface.
Rated at IP56, this is protected against splash and dust ingress, while the Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS) allows the connection to a compatible dust extractor for automatic start-up and shut down via Bluetooth. This saves time and power – using only what is required.
A lock lever lets you control the depth of your cut, while the shaft lock allows you to change bits easily using a spanner. The stopper base can be easily set to one of three cutting depths while dual LED work lights let you see the cutting line with ease in darker situations.
At the heart of this router is the brushless motor that allows you to use the tool efficiently. As part of the design, the tool utilizes every bit of battery power when you need, all while reducing the need for ongoing maintenance by reducing the amount of heat generated and working more efficiently.
