The Hikoki NV1845DAJXZ 18V Brushless Coil Nailer from ITS is the first cordless nailer from Hikoki that ensures high energy output without the need for gas, hoses or compressors.
The coil nailer utilises a unique air-spring drive system that produces a smooth, pneumatic-like feel to working. Its compact and lightweight design allows for better handling and comfortable control while letting you work longer without fatigue.
Capable of a range of tasks, the roofing nailer will work on fencing, roofing vinyl sliding to window installation, drywall fastening and more thus proving that this is just a versatile and flexible as you would expect from Hikoki.
Along with a slimline nose design with no-mar tip for precision nailing, along with the combination of brushless motor as well as the unique Air Spring Drive system, lets you sink 16° 45mm wire coil nails with sublime ease. To ensure its longevity, the coil nailer is tar as well as dust resistant.
With the option of either full sequential or contact drive modes, the NV1845DAJXZ coil nailer is capable of driving up to 2.7 nails per second. With a nail capacity of 120 to the magazine, it is compatible with 25mm to 45mm nails on a collation angle of 5°-16°.
A bright LED work light lets you continue to work regardless of lighting condition as well as exact placement in lower light situations.
At the heart of this Hikoki coil nailer is the brushless motor that ensures highest performance, more running time and maximum service life. Unlike carbon brush motors, the brushless motor is not subject to any wear and is therefore maintenance-free.
The technology in creating a brushless motor system allows for perfect symmetry between battery power and usage ensuring you get all the power you need, when you need it.

This is very much a specialist professional nailer rather than an allrounder. Sometimes known as a roofing nailer. The biggest advantage coil nailers have over most other nail guns is their ability to carry more nails in the magazine. Often around 200! If you are up on a roof where you're most likely to need one of these, not having to climb back down the ladder every 2 minutes to refill your nail gun is a big advantage.
These guns also fire a more specialist type of nail. These nails generally have large round heads suitable for fixing down roofing felt or other sheet material. Coil nailers are also being used more and more for fixing cement fibre boards (Hardieboard, Hardieplank).
Nails commonly range in size from around 19mm to 50mm and are also normally available in a range of materials such as galvanised, hot dipped galvanised or even stainless steel. So if rust is something you need to prevent, simply select the right nail for the job you're working on.
