I was not a fan of the material, it is very course and rough and feels plastic like. I am used to the last pair of Dunlops I had where the fabric felt like material not plastic. Also not a big fan of the slim fit, I am pretty big and would have preferred them to just be baggy. Most of the pockets are pretty good. You can fit a standard stanley in the slot in the side flap, pens and pencils etc. Open pocket on the leg I normally use for a boat and it fits (tiny bit sticks out which I was concerned originally but not fallen out so far). The loops on the side flap are mostly useless, I would have preferred more slots instead. Stuff either falls out of the loops or twists round. There is no hammer hook or loop and using the ones on the loops on the side flap was sketchy as I just explained. The slots for the knee pads are not very good. Don't align with my actual knees. The pads that are suppose to fit are tight but they do go in. Once kneeling they still cover the knee but are just a bit low down. Not comfortable walking around with the knee pads on these ones. These knee pads are really cheap so would have been nice to just be included with the trousers. Price is good for what they are but I may try a different pair next time.
