The LS1216L features Makita's DXT technology which means Deep Exact Cutting Technology. A 3 Stage reduction gear unit and movable rear blade guard means that the LS1216L can make the same cuts as larger less compact mitre saws when cutting crown moulding and skirting board.
Exact cutting on the LS1216L is achieved buy the unique 4 short pole system supported by 6 linear ball bearings which reduces vibration, adjustable dual sliding fences, and dual front bevel scales for precise adjustments.
