Please note that this mitre saw does not pull out and therefore the 260mm blade will perform a maximum crosscut of just 130mm. It features a max depth of cut of 95mm, max mitre range of 45 - 90º, Max mitre cut at 90º 90.5x95mm, Max mitre cut at 45º 48x95mm.
Pivoting back fence fitted to the LS1040N gives good timber support at all bevel angles and the material clamp has 4 mounting positions. Precision machined aluminium base ensures consistent accurate cuts.
The main attractions to the Makita LS1040N is the small & lightweight 11kg design, so can be easily transported, higher rigidity all over the body, more efficient chip/sawdust collection, more stable cutting.
