Makita LS0815FL 216mm Mitre Saw

The Makita LS0815FL 216mm mitre saw has finally joined the Makita mitre saw party. For a long time Makita have been without a 216mm mitre saw but the wait for one is over.

The 216mm diameter blade provides an impressive 65mm depth of cut and pulls out to an impressive 305mm. With a mitre range of 50° to the left and 60° to the right with positive stops at the most commonly used 0°, 15°, 22.5° and 45° increments and bevel angles of 48° left and 5° right, this saw offers the user maximum versatility.

The soft start motor ensures that your workpiece isn't jogged out of position with sudden start up movement and reaches a 5000rpm max no lad speed for a precise clean cut. The built-in laser guide provides effortless,spot-on accuracy every time whilst the LED joblight illuminates the workpiece in low light situations.

As with other Makita mitre saws this unit features the removable safety button so you can prevent others using it when your back is turned!.

At 14.2kg this LS0815FL from Makita is easily portable without compromising the impressive specification that it offers.

The Makita LS0815FL is available in 110v and 240v

"Bought this from ITS about a year ago. Very reliable, does all I ask of it - I needed a lighter weight machine (than the 260mm version I had) as I'm getting old, fat & doddery. I found the laser a boon - once you work out that it's not quite central. Cord storage, light and lighter weight really useful. Major gripe - the knobs that you turn to secure various things on the saw, such as the extending supports to each side, are utterly useless. No matter how tight you do 'em up, they loosen immediately which can be really irritating, and possibly hazardous. Shame Makita spoiled a good machine by seemingly cutting corners on a small, but important item."

"Laser is completely pointless, positioning it directly in the line of dust so last one cut. A bit gutless but fine if you use small stock. Nothing like the old 216 from mak and dewalt "
