The Metabo KGS 18 LTX 216 features Metabo's nw LiHD battery technology.

LiHD is a Metabo's own next generation of Lithium-ion battery. They are backwards compatible with 100% of Metabo's li-ion tools. The LiHD) "Lithium Ion - High Demand" batteries have an optimised CPU which will can give you up to 87% more runtime on the equivalent Ah non LiHD battery. These batteries are lighter and more compact than the previous Metabo Li-ion batteries.

The Mitre Saw itself is a cordless saw that matches the performance of most corded saws. Because of its cordless nature this saw is a perfect choice for those that need to transport that saw regularly or get it into positions where electrical points are hard to come by.

It can be carried one handed, which again makes it very quick and easy to get up and down from a loft or basement. The saw has a sliding bevel so it could handle a wider bit of timber. It can cope with a 305mm width of timber to a depth of around 60mm which is very impressive for a cordless, lightweight mitre saw.

The electronic motor brake will stop the saw completely in under 3 seconds is a handy safety feature whilst to auto-off function on the line laser and LED worklight help to save power in the battery.

As mention there is an in built laser line to guide you through your exact cut position, as well as a joblight for low light level conditions. Further features include a material clamp, depth stop and high sliding rear fence profile.
