The Makita DUR191LRT is the latest in a new LXT range of line trimmers. With Active Feedback Sensing Technology it shuts down the tool to protect the user if the rotation speed suddenly slows down. RPM is also automatically shifted between 3500 - 6000 min according to density of weeds, allowing for better energy saving and lower noise levels and with Automatic Torque Drive, the DUR191LRT changes the cutting speed according to load condition for optimum operation. Your well balanced and lightweight solution to all garden trimming needs. It also features a 2-section shaft for easy and space saving storage and transport.
Soft start, constant speed control, reverse switch for grass clipping removal, trigger switch for lock-on lever & wire guard reduces the risk of damaging fences, flowers, ornaments & garden gnomes.

MAKITA AFT
Makita's AFT is a Smart function to minimise the effect of kick-back. AFT will Shut down the tool, if the rotation speed suddenly slows down (e.g., kick-back). Active Feedback sensing Technology uses an on-board accelerometer to measure rotation and electronically turns off the motor if rotation is suddenly forced to stop. In addition, the torque limiting clutch is engineered to prevent gear damage by automatically disengaging the gears.
MAKITA ADT
Makita's ADT (Automatic torque Drive Technology) adjusts both the speed and torque of the tool for optimal pressure, even for the most demanding applications. During operation, if the tool is put under heavy load, Makita ADT Technology detects the added demand and applies more torque and speed to finish the job. This means that you're not ALWAYS using the tool to its maximum abilities - you only do that when it NEEDS it. This is help your tools last longer per charge and increase it's overall lifetime.
