The Makita DHP458 18v Lithium-ion 2 Speed Hammer Drill/Driver gives high power from a compact body.
The high power 4 pole motor has double the amount of magnetic force than standard motors providing more energy and power generating a maximum no load speed of 2000rpm, impressive max 88Nm torque and up to 3000bpm impact rate.
with 21 position adjustable torque control for uniform results and optimized precision, 2 speed/variable speed including reverse, 13mm single sleeve keyless chuck for easy bit installation/removal by one hand, drilling up to 13mm into steel, 65mm into wood & 16mm into masonry making it ideal for use in a variety of materials & a wide range of applications.
Featuring a twin LED job light with pre-glow for use in low visibility applications together with a variable speed trigger for greater control.
The 3 stage battery fuel gauge shows the power remaining in the battery, simply by pulling the trigger. 3 lights on - more than 50% of full battery capacity. 2 lights on - 20% to 50% of full battery capacity. 1 light on - less than 20% of full battery capacity.
Enhanced dust & drip-resistant performance, for use in outdoor applications or harsh environments, protection from dust & dripping water is enhanced compared with the existing model.
The compact 225mm overall length, the shortest in its class, well balanced, lightweight 2.3kg design makes it easy to handle without compromising on power, whilst the best possible ergonomic, soft rubber grip handle provides maximum user comfort reducing fatigue on prolonged use and providing greater tool control.
