Product Description

Model Number: C8FSE

The Hitachi C8FSE 216mm slide compound mitre saw has the rugged power for the toughest cutting jobs.

The C8FSE slide compound mitre saw boasts a powerful 1050 watt motor with 5500rpm blade speed, the 216mm diameter blade delivers an impressive 65mm max depth of cut, innovative twin horizontal rails give an equally impressive 312mm crosscut capacity, whilst a linear ball bearing slide system improves cutting accuracy and control, providing maximum support for large material cuts at any angle.

Positive stops on the mitre and bevel scales allow adjustment & quick set-up of the cutting depth for grooving and rebating applications, allowing accurate and simple setting of bevel angles up to 48 degree both to the left and angles between 0-45 degree left & 0-45 degree right providing maximum versatility.

The C8FSE also features electronic speed control maintaining a consistant rpm whilst cutting, electric brake halting rotation of the blade within seconds preventing unintended cuts, splinter guard for reducing tear out for increased safety and an adjustable pivoting fence for improved stability.

The lightweight, portable 14kg design of the C8FSE makes transportation to and around the worksite easy without compromising on operating power and efficiency. The vibration reducing, comfortable, ergonomic vertical soft grip handle provides maximum comfort and reduces user fatigue.

Complete with: 2 x 24 tooth TCT saw blade, dust bag, vice assy and wrench.

"I was a self employed house carpenter/builder in New Zealand for 14 years and on wages for 6 years before that. At the time everything was done in timber,: finishings, all structural members and exterior cladding. For the past 10 years I have been a self employed carpenter/joiner in the UK: while I still do a bit of carpentry I now mostly make hard wood or painted softwood free standing or fitted furniture. Since the early 90s I have used hitachi mitre saws and for the past 5 years have had this model.. I have had three hitachis over the years and they have only been replaced to be upgraded not because they have worn out. Blade changes are easy, compound mitres are easy and you can mistreat these saws a bit in the back of the van without detriment. I feel I know these saws inside out and cannot reccomend them highly enough. They have never let me down."

"I purchased this saw aprox 12 months ago and have found it to be very good. I spend my time mainly 2nd fixing on site(new build) and use the saw most days. I use the saw in conjunction with the dewalt saw stand which work really well together. The down side to this saw as there are with most is that that you need a fairly large ammont of space behind for the saw to slide back into making cutting in hall ways etc quite difficult other then that the one feature I would change is the depth stop as you cannot cut to depth then cut off without resetting the depth i.e housing door lining heads. I would Definatly recommend this saw as it cost a lot less then others and isn't any worse. I would buy another without hesitation "
