5* tape
I've been on the look out for a combination tape measure as my previous tape measure (bosch) was only in metric. I first tried out the Lufkin Shockforce as it reviewed well, but found it twisted very easily even at short range making it difficult to accurately mark down heights from the ground etc. So instead I took a shot at the Milwaukee Stud 5M/16ft. I couldn't be more satisfied, the tape is sturdy and resists bending or twisting at all practical lengths, it feels premium in the hand, the belt clip strikes a really good balance of ease of use and retention pressure on the belt. one thing I really like is the brake mechanic, similar to the bosch if you squeeze on the base it cinches the tape until you release, unlike the bosch though where you squeeze a button that contacts the tape for the Milwaukee Stud you directly grip the tape providing you get a great tactile amount of grip required while at the same time there is no threat of cuts from the tape as its got a good coating preventing nicks or cuts. ps great recoil action not too aggressive, returns super smooth.
