Recently we brought you the news that Dewalt are releasing the DCB184 5.0Ah Li-ion battery, enabling them to increase their already impressive cordless runtime. A battery release wouldn’t be the same without a few products to go with it, so if you’re in the mood for upgrading your batteries, why not have a look at upgrading your tools as well. Below is a rundown of the new Dewalt Cordless Power Tool range that are supplied with 5.0Ah Dewalt Batteries
DCD790P2 and DCD795P2
Lets start with one of Dewalt’s most popular Drill Drivers and Hammer Drill Drivers. As I explain in my article ‘What Dewalt Drill to buy’ (click to read) I explain that these two are pretty identical, its just that the DCD795 has the additional ‘Hammer’ mode, which makes it a combi drill, and allows it to be used with masonry. As far as spec is concerned both the DCD790P2 and the DCD795P2 are exactly the same, they both feature a ‘Brushless’ motor and give the user a maximum of around 60Nm of toque. With max bit capacity in wood of 38mm and 13mm in steel these models are firmly professional level, general purpose drills.
The ‘P2’ at the end of the model number (e.g DCD795P2) tells you that it will be supplied with 2 of the new Dewalt 5Ah batteries. So you’re packages available are:

DCD990P2 and DCD995P2
Earlier in the yearwe took some time to introduce you to the Dewalt DCD995 (which you can read here). This is Dewalts newest and best combi drill, and we’re now supplying the ‘drill driver’ version which is just the DCD990. These are both, proper heavy duty, brushless, drills able to give you 80Nm of torque with metal gears that are housed in metal casing. It also comes supplied with a side handle which is always a tell-tale sign that it’s built for big jobs. Spec for the DCD995P2 / DCD990P2 have a max 80Nm of toque, bit capacity in wood of 50mm, and in steel its 13mm.
Once more the new offering is the DCD990P2 and DCD995P2 which is a package offering the 5.0Ah batteries:

This Dewalt 2 piece kit includes the DCD795 which is the Brushless Hammer Drill Driver mentioned at the top of this article so a nice general purpose, professionals combi drill. And with it the DCF886 impact driver, which again is brushless and very powerful churning out around 165Nm of toque.
